So finally, got to back up all the icons that were originally hosted by tinypic. If you happen to go back and find that I possibly missed an icon and you're unable to view it, feel free to drop me a comment so I can fix it. :) I'm still open for any icon requests, but in the meantime, I've got a bunch of icons I've been working on. Possible spoilers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Nikita (up to 1x03), and Undercovers (pilot only)

[31] random icons: Adventure Time, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Sonny With A Chance, Nikita, Undercovers, Toki wo Kakeru Shōjo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time)

Okay, so uh, apparently TinyPic is not going to work anymore for users outside of the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. I've been mainly using it for all my icon/gif/picspam needs for the past year or so and I am not very happy about this at all.

I'll be reuploading all of my stuff to imgur and/or Livejournal's scrapbook but I just want to spread the message and apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime.

Since I'm here and I have been in a great iconning mood lately (:D), please go ahead and spam me with pics!

- HQ/hi-res, Safe For Work pictures please (you might find helpful links at my resources page or at screencap communities like cap_it. I have to confess that Piandao.org does not load for me for reasons I don't understand so if you want Avatar icons and could upload caps from there to an image hosting site, it would be helpful to me!

- no need to reserve for a spot or anything

- I ask that you don't request with either Fullmetal Alchemist or The Vampire Diaries Season 2 screencaps, only because I'm not caught to either and I'd like to be spoiler-free!

- icons will be shareable :)

A Selection of Favorite Kisses

Wed, 08 Sep 2010 16:42:00 GMT

Posted by: dharmavati.livejournal.com

I'd signed up for schmoop_bingo earlier this year and I wanted to get cracking on those prompts so I've made a picspam for one of my deceptively simple prompts, "kiss". Surely it sounds easy at first but, while working on it, I realized that I tend to ship a lot of pairings that don't actually get together and make out in canon. D:

Title: A Selection of Favorite Kisses
Prompt: "kiss"
Medium: picspam!
Rating: PG
Warnings: potential spoilers for A:TLA, a bunch of Disney/Pixar movies/shows, S2 of Merlin, S1 of Leverage, Serenity, and... uh, a bunch of other movies listed at the end)
Summary: Makeouts!

Period vs. Modern: Compare/Contrast

Fri, 16 Apr 2010 23:09:00 GMT

Posted by: dharmavati.livejournal.com

What I like to do is see how someone might manage two very different roles, especially if one of those roles is for a character in a period piece. So, this picspam is going to contrast the period and modern roles of 20 actors/actresses from various countries. Although the costumes and hair immediately come to mind, I also tried to look at other aspects, such as cultural norms and body language, that might have required the actor/actress to approach the roles differently. Hope you enjoy!

5 Fave Disney Songs

Tue, 16 Feb 2010 20:02:00 GMT

Posted by: dharmavati.livejournal.com

Growing up during the Disney Renaissance was the best and rewatching all the VHS cassettes and Sing-Along versions has given me a lot to appreciate about singing animals and romantic interludes. So, for the current picspammy challenge, I'm going to list my personal favorite musical moments (that are not really ranked in any way; they're in order of film release here).

( I'm gonna be the mane event, like no king was before! )

This is a picspam for halfamoon's current celebration of female characters. I decided to make a picspam for a small selection of my favorite non-English speaking female characters ("non-English speaking" here meaning that they primarily speak in another language since some of these characters may codeswitch or speak occasional sentences in English). I've hopefully kept the spoilers to a minimum in case you want to check any of these out. :) I know that I definitely need to diversify my exposure to non-English media and I hope that I can find and add more awesome ladies in the future!

So, gossymer bid and won my lot of 20 icons at help_haiti and was okay with making these icons shareable so I'm posting them here! :D There are a variety of fandoms including Avatar: the Last Airbender, Naruto, Nodame Cantabile, Skip Beat, and X-Men: Evolution. Hope you all enjoy!

help_haiti is a community that is trying to raise money for organizations currently working in Haiti to address the ongoing recovery and rebuilding process in Haiti. Members of various fandoms are coming together to "auction" fic, art, giftboxes, graphics and other odds-n-ends to people donating to the cause. The organizations you can donate to can be found here. There's a lot of interesting stuff up for auction and it goes to an incredibly important purpose so I'd like to urge anyone to participate in this however they can. :)

I've got two lots on the Graphics thread:

20 Icons

5 Gifs

I will be delivering said graphics by February 14 to the highest bidder. :D
